About LeeAnaca
LeeAnaca Moore, age 17, is a native of Florida with family roots in Elmira. She started her dance journey when she was 10 years old with the Cathedral Arts Program. Her dance teacher later referred her to the Florida Ballet to continue her training. From that point on, LeeAnaca’s dance career flourished as she perfected her technical skills and honed her chorographical talents with the help of MAD Studios and Lavilla School of the Arts in Florida.
LeeAnaca’s dancing has also taken her around the US. She won a scholarship to attend the world-renowned Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive in NYC at age 13, and attended the Atlanta Ballet Summer Intensive at age 14. In 2021, she competed in Florida’s Youth American Prix and placed in the top 24. Also in 2021, LeeAnaca performed a self-choreographed lyrical dance solo at Elmira’s Way Center. Ms. Moore was a participant in the Universal Ballet Competition, a premier student ballet competition, in February of 2022 and placed in the top 15 for both her contemporary and classical solos. She was the lead in the Florida Ballet’s presentation of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, for the past 3 years and was selected to perform several solo roles. This summer, LeeAnaca attended the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Summer Program in San Francisco, CA, for three weeks, followed by a six-week intensive training with the Philadelphia Ballet.
As a conservatory trainee at Florida Ballet, LeeAnaca continues her dance training as she focuses on her goal of becoming a professional dancer.
